This May, as part of the SMARTI ETN outreach training, NTEC and the University of Nottingham organised Communication Training Week, giving the researchers opportunity to present their projects, communicate, share and combine their ideas, and learn from industry partners how to speak the “corporate” language.
During the training presenters from both academia and industry, showed our researchers why finding their projects’ voice and using different social media channels to disseminate it is important and how it helps the development and success of their projects. Social media allows you to reach an extremely wide and targeted audience, maximising the impact and exploitation of research results. Federico Perrotta from TRUSS ITN shared his experience with and talked about blogging as a powerful dissemination tool.
